In the past 35 years of Hosbein ownership, the firm has expanded its client base, personnel, and resources in order to continually provide better service and increased client satisfaction.
Phillip M. Hosbein
Owner/AccountantPhil graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University in 1995 with his BBA, majoring in accounting and minoring in general business. Following his graduation, Phil began working for BDO Seidman, LLP in Kalamazoo for three years, after which he became certified as a public accountant. In October of 1998 Phil made the decision to follow in his father's footsteps and joined the staff at Tri-County Bookkeepers. Phil is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Independent Accountants Association of Michigan. In January of 2002, Phil purchased the practice from his father.
Patrick L. Duensing
AccountantPat graduated from Western Michigan University in 1971 with a BBA, majoring in accounting and minoring in general business. In 1982, Pat started full time as a tax accountant for Tri-County Bookkeepers. Pat is a member of the Independent Accountants Association of Michigan.
Rosemarie J. Narregan
AccountantRose received her BA from Sienna Heights College, majoring in Business Administration. At the time, she was working at All-Phase Electric Supply Co. in the tax department completing sales tax returns and assisting with the corporate returns. She also helped her dad in preparing individual tax returns. As a married mother of two, she has enjoyed volunteering in the local youth baseball and bowling programs.
Jonathan E. Kooiman
AccountantJon graduated with high honors from Davenport University in May of 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Applied Science, majoring in Accounting. In the fall of 2003 Jon joined Boogerd & Hirdes Accounting and Tax Service located in Grand Rapids. During Jon's time at Boogerd & Hirdes Accounting, he worked on tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll services. In October of 2006 Jon joined Tri-County Bookkeepers.
James J. Hosbein
AccountantJim graduated from Western Michigan University in 1967 with a BBA, majoring in accounting and minoring in general business. In 1977, Jim purchased Tri County Bookkeepers from Dean & Dorothy Forburger. In 2002 he transitioned the business to his son Phil.
Margaret J. Perso
Office Manager/Accountant"Maggie" received her BBA from East Carolina University in 1968, majoring in accounting with a minor in general business. As a staff accountant for A.M. Pullen & Co, CPA's, Maggie prepared corporate and individual income tax returns, as well as, assisting with field audits. Around 1974, Maggie and her husband moved to St. Joseph where she began her successful career as a full time wife and mother of two. Thirteen years later Maggie joined the Tri-County Bookkeepers staff.
